Madame de La Porte (detail), by Jean-Marc Nattier.
John Singer Sargent (1856 – 1925)
Absolutely exquisite portraits! He just makes drawing look so effortless…
Film studies from the Video Odd Look by Kavinsky
I learned so much from these. They all took around 5 to 7 hours each.
All done on two layers (one for the painting, one for the lights) with 10% colorpicking for reassessing. (I’ll try with no color picking in the next one!!)
(I’ve might been listening a little too much of Kavinsky for the past few days…)
Wish you all a great week-end!
Those are brilliant, you should tweet them to Kav! He gets overly excited about this kind of stuff.

a quick doodle while being bored a really long time ago
I went to socal last week for the sole reason of forcing my friends to draw me my favorite thing: veiny muscle men in underwear.
Chum drew me an ridankulously adorable Daniel Bryan, and Irwin drew me an excruciatingly cute Scotty Steiner. I would have forced Jay and Gabby to draw me wrasslers, but every time I was gonna ask they were asleep :/
I was already annoying chum to upload the second drawing. It’s just fantastic, superb work tempural!!
The rest of the family refused to join us or were out somewhere.
